LAMBDA SPORTING SHOTGUN COURSE
Course Description
The Sporting Shotgun course is intended for all individuals regardless of previous shooting experience, and is for those who wish to learn how to shoot trap and/or skeet shooting with clay targets. This course is held at the range for two (2) hours.
Course Objectives
The objective of this course is teach students how to shoot a double barrel sporting shotgun (over/under) safely and accurately when shooting trap (outwards away from the shooter) and skeet (side, from different angles and heights).

At the end of the course, students should have a comprehensive understanding of the following:
- Safe gun handling & operation
- Gun mount position & stance
- Target presentation and acquisition
- Shooting from different ‘banks’
- Focal, hold, & break points

Additional Information
Full payment is required to reserve a seat in the class, and completion of the standard Student Questionnaire upon enrollment is also mandatory. Range fees are set by the firing range, but are included in the course price. Range attire should be comfortable but not loose-fitting clothing. Students are responsible for bringing the following with them to the range:
- Sporting shotgun (over/under)
- Hearing & eye protection
- 100 rounds of target shells (birdshot) for each variant
- Snacks/food/water
- (Optional) Shooting vest
