LAMBDA INTERMEDIATE RIFLE COURSE
Course Description
This course is designed with the competent shooter in mind, and builds on the Basic Rifle Course. It is a one (1) day range course which focuses on intermediate rifle concepts which are designed for precision and long distance shooting situations.
Course Objectives
The objective for his course is to give students the skills and confidence for real-world long distance shooting. This course is designed for rifle enthusiasts who are seeking to improve their precision with a long barrel rifle.
Prerequisites
Students must possess the rifle skills presented in the Basic Rifle Course. Prospective participants can demonstrate that they have the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities by producing a Lambda USA Basic Rifle Course certificate.
Learning Outcomes
At the end of the course, students should have a comprehensive understanding of the following:
- Zeroing in the rifle
- Windage & elevation adjustments
- Proper rifle support
- Trigger control
- Breath control
- Various shooting positions:
- Prone
- Sitting
- Kneeling
- Recoil management and reduced dwell time
Students who successfully pass the course will receive an Intermediate Rifle Course completion certificate.

Additional Information
Full payment is required to reserve a seat in the class, and completion of the standard Student Questionnaire upon enrollment is also mandatory. Range fees are set by the firing range, but are included in the course price. Range attire should be comfortable but not loose-fitting clothing. Students are responsible for bringing the following with them to the range:
- Rifle
- Tripod/bipod and riflescope
- 300 rounds of match grade ammunition
- Hearing & eye protection
- Snacks/food/water
- (Optional) Knee/elbow pads, shooting mat, spotter scope/binoculars
