WOMEN’S SHOOTING CLASS
Course Description
Our Women’s Shooting Class offers hands-on instruction in a friendly, comfortable, and safe environment. Whether you are picking up a gun for the first time, refreshing your skills, or are an experienced shooter, this course is for you. This course is taught by a female instructor, and consists of eight (8) hours of classroom instruction, followed by a range day.
Course Objectives
The goal of this class is to provide a safe and welcoming environment for all women to learn how to shoot.
Learning Outcomes
At the end of the course, students should have a comprehensive understanding of the following:
- The four (4) basic rules of gun safety
- Safe, legal storage of a firearm
- Shooting range safety
- Safe handling, loading, and proper shooting grip
- Safe and accurate shooting
- Cleaning of a pistol
Students will take a Basic Pistol Student Examination; those who successfully pass the course will receive a Women’s Shooting Course completion certificate.

Additional Information
Full payment is required to reserve a seat in the class, and completion of the standard Student Questionnaire upon enrollment is also mandatory. Do not bring your firearm to the classroom portion of the course. Range fees are set by the firing range, but are included in the course price. Range attire should be comfortable but not loose-fitting clothing. Students are responsible for bringing the following with them to the range:
- Semi-automatic pistol or revolver
- 300 rounds of ammunition
- Hearing & eye protection
- Snacks/food/water
